| Winemaker's Notes The richly fragrant nose features sweet cherry and earthy blackberry scents intertwined with notes of smoked cured meat and vanilla bean, plus hints of charcoal minerality and tobacco leaf. On the palate it is every bit as impressive. Juicy blackberry, plum and cherry flavors meld with rich iron, game and sage tones that lead into the long and spicy, vanilla and berry inflected finish. The medium to full body is well supported by an integrated spine of good acidity and ripe tannins which make this a great match with food, from charcuterie to herb roasted pork loin, roast beef or braised lamb.
