Blanc de Camarsac is a thoroughly modern styled white Bordeaux. Predominantly Sauvignon Blanc, Blanc de Camarsac is fermented in stainless steel to preserve bright fruit aromas and flavors.
The wines of Chateau de Camarsac are made on the outskirts of Bordeaux in the little village of Camarsac. The estate was bought by Lucien Lurton in 1973, and he restructured the vineyard and the cellar. Blanc de Camarsac comes from a strict selection of the best white wines from the Bordeaux region. Thierry Lurton, Lucien's son, made a blend characteristic of a high quality Bordeaux Sauvignon, fresh and fruity, with elegance and length.
The Chateau de Camarsac is an imposing fortress sitting on a hill with a commanding view of the surrounding countryside. The Chateau was originally built in the 12th century, with additions in the 15th and 19th century. It served as a fortified strongpoint during the medieval battles between the French and English.
